__PUBLISH__ Streaming with Infrafem 11:00-12:00 - Varia introduction to this session; round of introductions of everyone present; discussion on questions and concepts 12:00-13:00 - Clustering what we can do in the afternoon based on what we discussed and what we bring 13:00-14:00 Lunch 14:00-16:00 - Make diagrams - Share technical tools and manuals from our own groups - Share modes of organising - Formulate questions for the follow-up online stream and the radio guests - ... We've prepared a list of questions that we would love to discuss together with you from the perspective of different media (filecasting, etherpad writing, audio broadcast). You can see them below: - How do you understand the concept of streaming? - How do you experience the concept of time in relation to streaming? - How do you experience the concept of simultaneity in relation to streaming? - Why we talk about simultaneity? What makes it fascinating? - What does simultaneous stream mean in technical terms regarding servers? Different servers 'talking' to each other? One server, one mountpoint and multiple clients? One server, multiple mountpoints and multiple clients (case of temporary riparian zone http://82.199.133.204/files/trz/ )? - How is simultaneity perceived by the listeners and the hosts, the clients and the servers? - How does bridging happening with listeners and radio hosts/contributors/clients? - How can a streaming be approached through feminist, intersectional and decolonial approaches, also in relation to time? Thinking together with the hardware, software, and other social aspects. - How can we rethink the making content and produce in relation to make the infrastructure and deprogramming radio (a community radio without program https://wavefarm.org/radio/wgxc/calendar/0jewa8)? It would be great if people show up (at least for the get togethers) to give their input. One of the things we want to do there is build up a test version (prototype) of the studio to work on / try out the cateradio setup we have build so far. So the goal of this is not so much to do a registration of the festival / do something for listeners, but more to have a space to meet / experiment. The schedule so far (times and things are up for discussion, and depend when people have time, final shedule will be made friday night, check https://pad.puscii.nl/p/cr-schedule-festival): # friday night - building up the studio - figuring out how things work - have a meeting - figure out the plan for saturday - do a little test broadcast to see if things work # saturday 13:00 doors of the studio open 14:00 get together / discussion 15:00 work on text for website / description of the project 16:00 walkthrough of technical setup 17:00 another meeting for people that are late ??:?? broadcast ?? Wrap up kl and ccl got a bit lost in conversations big simultaneous streaming group: looked at the structure of how to set up the server priority crunk was everywhere and nowhere at the same time crystalradio.net some stones have bigger transmission power than others crystals interfere with radio
